Coaching as a Social Process
Coaching is not only something that happens between coach and client. It is a social practice: shaped by history, culture, institutions, language, power and professional norms—and capable of either reproducing or transforming them. When we coach a person, what social world are we also coaching within—and what are we helping to reproduce, resist, or transform?
