Accreditation
EMCC accreditation is a mark of quality that ensures excellence, ethics, credibility, and impact in coaching, mentoring, supervision, and leadership development. Join a global community of 65'00+ graduates who have completed a program at an EMCC accredited education / training provider.
Process Summary
EMCC accredits individuals, education / training providers, as well as coaching programs within organisations. Earning accreditation involves a dialogic process that fosters reflection and seeks to confirm the applicant is able to produce the high quality outcomes that align with EMCC's evidence based best practice.

Supervision & Intervision
Supervision & intervision is about deep learning, ethical integrity, and elevating professional standards through reflective dialouge with experienced practicing supervisors.
EMCC defines supervision as a safe space for reflective dialogue with a practicing supervisor, supporting the supervisee’s practice, development and well-being. As part of accreditation, all EMCC mentors and coaches commit to regular sessions of supervision.
Intervision is a structured process of shared reflection amongst peers (often in small groups and often led by an accredited supervisor) where coaching experiences are explored to deepen insight and professional learning.
The field of supervision is rapidly evolving, shaped by new approaches to coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice. Through its Supervision Centre for Excellence, EMCC Global is committed to staying at the forefront of these changes, continuously refining its systems, resources, and support for practitioners worldwide.

Continous Personal Professional Development
Continuous Personal Professional Development (CPPD) is a learning process fundamental for all mentors, coaches, and supervisors to maintain and enhance their practice over time. It involves ongoing commitment to developing knowledge and technical expertise, keeping up to date with evolving best practices, and supporting professional and personal growth.

Ethics
EMCC maintains a focus on ethics in everything we do. The Global Code of Ethics (the Code), to which EMCC Global is a signatory, sets the expectation of best practice in mentoring, coaching, and supervision promoting the development of professional excellence. It is the most comprehensive code of ethics for those working in the world of coaching, mentoring, and supervision. The first version of the Code, jointly created by the Association for Coaching (AC) and the EMCC, was launched in February 2016. The Code is a guidance document rather than a legally binding policy that spells out in detail what a member can and cannot do. The Code aligns with the content and requirements set out in the Professional Charter for Coaching and Mentoring (a charter drafted in accordance with European law). This charter is registered on the dedicated European Union database which lists self-regulation initiatives in Europe.

Research
EMCC Global focuses on supporting research that is practitioner led and evidence based to stimulate the creation, development, sharing, and practical application of knowledge in the fields of coaching, mentoring, and supervision. Our Centre for Excellence for Research supports EMCC members in maintaining a high-level of quality when conducting their research activities. The papers produced through these activities are published by EMCC Global in its International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching.
